When I first read this poem it made me think back to my summer break where I have spent in Los Angeles. I've found that the poems he chose for Poetry 180: A Turning Back to Poetry were a fantastic mixture of styles, themes, and complexity. It was an awesome sight, as the frontman immediately turned back and came down to the stage again and they performed Dreaming Wide Awake and one final song which probably every other person who listens to music might have heard - Carnival of Rust. I'm a part time poetry reader: not a passionate fan but certainly not someone who is adverse to poetry's charms.
